We are looking to hire a seasoned Payroll Officer for our growing team!
Basic Purpose : Subject matter expert specifically regarding the audit and control measures for the Investment Retirement Planners & Mortgage Specialists’ Compensation program ensuring adherence to compensation standards and guidelines;
mitigation of risk; and verifying conformity to regulatory requirements.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Assist the Investment Retirement Planner & Mortgage Specialist Sales Force in Ontario, Quebec, Atlantic, BC, Alberta and MB & Sask provinces to achieve their business objectives and regulatory obligation by coordinating and executing compliance audits.
Conducts verification for incoming sales to ensure compensation is correctly completed in accordance to National Office Process and Procedures.
Ensure all sales / recoveries requiring review are examined for completeness and accuracy.
Delivers a superior client experience by providing customer care and service
Assumes ownership and accountability for resolution of complex issues and concerns. Reports potential high-risk situations to Manager.
Identifies and recommends procedural and system enhancements for value added management of Operational Risk.
Work requires continual reacting and adaptation to changing environment to ensure quick resolution of identified issues / gaps.
Provides support on projects and initiatives to the VCSS Department
Responsible for accurate and timely completion / verification / recovery of IRP / MS Compensation (daily, bi-weekly, monthly and annually).
Works on a variety of bank applications to complete process.
Works in a team environment.

Understands the Mortgage Specialist / Investment Retirement Planner Compensation Program guidelines and processes. Knows audit and control processes and procedures.
