Facilities Development Project Manager

Reporting to the National Director of Facilities Development and working closely with the FD Project Manager Lead, this national role will oversee Facilities Development projects for CBI Health Group.

Working with internal stakeholders, external contractors and consultants the PM will collaborate and coordinate the execution of development plans to ensure projects are delivered within budget and timelines.

Take an inside look at what you’ll do each day

  • Lead intake (SRR) and understand operational requirements for appropriate scoping of projects.
  • Ensure timely communication of project plans to ensure all parties are informed of development progress, key deliverable dates to ensure that all changes and development plans operate on the established timelines.
  • Provide consultation around value engineering options for project budgeting.
  • Liaise between CBI and CBRE, to provide accurate and timely follow through on all lease negotiation requirements (i.e.
  • Offer, Renewals, Terminations, etc.)

  • Available to all involved parties in active construction regions. (I.e. Designers, Landlords, Contractors / Consultants etc.)
  • Ensure CBI Facilities & Procurement Policies are followed.
  • Be familiar with and execute on established FD processes (i.e. RACI and Resource Team Roles & Responsibilities).
  • Make recommendations regarding appropriate materials, supplies, to ensure CBI quality standards.
  • Proactively liaise with other business partners in Operations, IT, Procurement, Marketing, Finance as required
  • Facilitating appropriate approvals for all active construction contracts and budgets (i.e. budget consolidation)
  • Ensure key operators and FM are informed of closing functions i.e. Manuals and follow up deficiencies.
  • CBI lead for active projects for / to CM and active projects site conditions / resolutions / change orders etc. with contractors, consultants and Landlords
  • Anticipate potential risks (timing, budget, etc.) and make sure corrective action is being taken
  • Liaise with Operations and Mergers & Acquisitions and Project Analysis on project capital spend requirements
  • Manage / educate Operations on expectations on capital spend
  • Reviewing and reconciling project invoices for approval.
  • Here’s what you’ll need to be successful

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction, facilities or project management
  • Experience with the coordination and execution of contracts and / or projects nationally.
  • Familiar with corporate real estate transactions and the implications (to a project)
  • Familiar with / work in AutoCAD, Bluebeam or industry standard software
  • PMP certification would be an asset
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Knowledge of commercial building practices and national and regional building code(s).
