We are currently recruiting for a detail orientated, quality and safety focused, team player who is self-motivated to fill the position of Winery Production / Bottleshop General Labourer based out of our Jackson-

Triggs / Oliver Production Facility.

  • Arterra Wines Canada’s Oliver Production Facility / Winery is a full-service operation from harvest through to final distribution;

    The Role :

    You will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team in operating our advanced automated production equipment, while being responsible for following standard operating procedures.

    Key responsibilities :

  • Assists in the operation of production machinery and equipment
  • Participates in set-up, clean-up and maintenance of equipment
  • Support in the manual labour process of making Sparkling Wines
  • Rotates between various functions on bottling line
  • Assists in inspection of finished goods for quality control purposes
  • Fully supports the policies and core values
  • Fully supports the safety practices and policies
  • Operates Forklift to transport Finished Product
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Bottling Supervisors / Production Manager
  • Job Requirements :

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • The successful candidate must be at least 19 years of age and holds a valid driver’s licence.
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Forklift Operation Experience an Asset.
  • Ability to work rotating shift work & overtime
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Team Oriented
  • Able to work well in fast paced environment
  • Basic reading, writing and math skills
  • Quality-conscious person
  • Must have reliable transportation, be punctual and maintain good attendance
  • Communicate to Lead hands, Supervisors and co-workers operational / mechanical issues
  • Working Conditions & Environment :

  • This position is located in a beverage / food manufacturing plant.
  • Exposed to moving machinery, such as forklifts and production equipment.
  • Exposed to loud noise from moving forklifts and production equipment, requires wearing hearing protection.
  • Requires flexibility with schedule, including break times and working extended hours when needed.
  • Lifting : Up to 22.5 kgs.
  • Standing / Walking (Continuously) standing on variable surfaces throughout entire shift. Climbing (Occasionally) in and around equipment
  • Squatting / Stooping / Kneeling : (Occasionally) to as low as ground level while cleaning
  • Repetitive use of hand / grasping : (Occasionally) light to forceful manipulating / grasping of product
