We are currently recruiting for a detail orientated, quality and safety focused, team player who is self-motivated to fill the position of Winery Production / Bottleshop General Labourer based out of our Jackson-
Triggs / Oliver Production Facility.
Arterra Wines Canada’s Oliver Production Facility / Winery is a full-service operation from harvest through to final distribution;

The Role :
You will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team in operating our advanced automated production equipment, while being responsible for following standard operating procedures.

Key responsibilities :
Assists in the operation of production machinery and equipment
Participates in set-up, clean-up and maintenance of equipment
Support in the manual labour process of making Sparkling Wines
Rotates between various functions on bottling line
Assists in inspection of finished goods for quality control purposes
Fully supports the policies and core values
Fully supports the safety practices and policies
Operates Forklift to transport Finished Product
Performs other duties as assigned by Bottling Supervisors / Production Manager
Job Requirements :
Grade 12 or equivalent
The successful candidate must be at least 19 years of age and holds a valid driver’s licence.
Forklift Operation Experience an Asset.
Ability to work rotating shift work & overtime
Ability to learn quickly
Able to work well in fast paced environment
Basic reading, writing and math skills
Must have reliable transportation, be punctual and maintain good attendance
Communicate to Lead hands, Supervisors and co-workers operational / mechanical issues
Working Conditions & Environment :
This position is located in a beverage / food manufacturing plant.
Exposed to moving machinery, such as forklifts and production equipment.
Exposed to loud noise from moving forklifts and production equipment, requires wearing hearing protection.
Requires flexibility with schedule, including break times and working extended hours when needed.
Lifting : Up to 22.5 kgs.
Standing / Walking (Continuously) standing on variable surfaces throughout entire shift. Climbing (Occasionally) in and around equipment
Squatting / Stooping / Kneeling : (Occasionally) to as low as ground level while cleaning
Repetitive use of hand / grasping : (Occasionally) light to forceful manipulating / grasping of product
