Position Summary :

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Social Media Specialist will be responsible for managing Trulioo's online persona and reputation across various online channels.

You will also write and publish engaging content that delivers consistent and unified messaging about Trulioo’s products, mission and vision.

The ideal candidate is a creative self-starter with proven success in social media management and content creation. This position requires exceptional writing skills backed by the interpersonal and organizational skills necessary to bring a project from idea to fruition.

The successful candidate will have extensive marketing, writing and project management skills. If you don’t possess impeccable spelling and grammar, this gig probably isn’t for you.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities :

Propose and execute creative and effective campaigns aligned with specific marketing and sales objectives

Elevate the quality and quantity of social content to grow and improve the health of our channels

Perform daily account management of all social channels using both native platforms and third-party vendor tools

Assist in identifying the current status, gaps and needs for social media content

Craft engaging social media updates appropriate for each online community

Interact with industry leaders, influencers and enthusiasts to increase online engagement

Curate the most relevant and timely content to share via social channels

Deliver weekly reports with insightful analytics and recommendations for social media growth, increased website traffic and conversions

Develop engaging branded visuals for social media with support from marketing director and graphic designer

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure messaging and communication to customers is consistent and timely. Integrate a feedback loop to identify issues, trends, and solutions

Monitor trends in social media, applications, channels, design and strategy in an effort to constantly improve our social metrics and strategies

Analyze the long-term needs of the company’s social media strategy and offer quarterly reports to the team that outline any necessary changes or recommendations to increase awareness, engagement and conversions

Advertising responsibilities include :

Create and manage paid social media campaigns

Report on account metrics to ensure alignment with budget and goals

Basic understanding of website optimization, SEO, and SEM

Experience using marketing automation software and working knowledge of CRM tools, and Google Analytics

Develop content based on audience segmentation

Education and Experience :

2+years of experience managing social media channels

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism or related major

Proven success metrics that demonstrate capabilities

Exceptional journalistic writing, messaging, copywriting, content marketing and storytelling skills

Commitment to quality, accuracy, detail, and consistency including adherence to brand standards

Must be positive and have ability to stay poised under pressure

This is currently a part-time position with potential to become full-time position. The candidate is required to work from our downtown Vancouver location.

We are flexible with days / hours.
