You are a leader in our Cloud, DevOps revolution, and you are tasked with developing support strategies and operational practices promoting the You Build It, You Run It culture.

You have an agile and collaborative approach with the desire to transform and drive change. You have working knowledge of operational practices and see optimization solutions where everyone else sees problems.

Your goal is to ensure the delivery sectors have the culture, tools and organization to meet and exceed National Bank’s criteria for operational excellence.

You will develop our operational strategy, using a global view of our tool and support requirements to improve all operational practices at Wealth Management through its transformation.

You will also be responsible for providing training and guidance on operational practices enabling the You Build It, You Run It attitude, for measuring the adoption rate of practices / tools as well as for assessing the Delivery teams’ maturity level (continuous learning cycle).

This means using your technical and leadership skills to work with members of your team and our partners to fulfill the following functions :

  • Work with various Bank sectors to foster collaboration and alignment of practices
  • Help implement monitoring and reporting tools in all sectors to allow proactive problem management
  • Constantly seek optimization through feedback loops with stakeholders
  • Support teams in transitioning applications into the public cloud with the You Build It, You Run It attitude
  • Help develop strategies and KPIs to measure our operational practices and to upgrade them
  • Look for an innovative solution, but with a realistic implementation considering the progress made by various teams and stakeholders
  • Build and manage the team’s backlog to optimize talent allocation and our partners’ expectations
  • This is the technology environment in which you will be evolving at the start :

  • Collaboration (JIRA / Confluence)
  • Source code management (Git-Bitbucket)
  • Continuous integration servers (Jenkins with pipeline concept as code)
  • Sourcing (Ansible, Terraform)
  • Containers and orchestration (Docker / Kubernetes)
  • Deployed over multi-cloud environments (private with OpenShift, public with AWS)
  • Monitoring of applications and infrastructure (AppDynamics, Datadog, Splunk, etc.) to ensure they deliver the expected business value to our clients.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field and 5 10 years of relevant experience
  • ITIL training, an asset
  • Operational experience in IT and software development sectors
  • An above-average understanding of the cloud infrastructure
  • An understanding of the software development environment
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and their implementation
  • Knowledge of automation and release management
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Talent as a communicator
  • Go-getter and collaborative attitude
  • Bilingualism (spoken / written) French and English
