RVA has an excellent career opportunity, in our Sudbury Office, for a Project Manager with experience in Municipal and Water / Wastewater Engineering.
Roles and Responsibilities :
Providing project engineering and technical expertise, analysis and design services on multi-disciplinary projects.
Managing of Water / Wastewater and Municipal Engineering projects including financial controls, project management, managing client relationships.
Preparation of preliminary and final designs for linear infrastructure and water / wastewater projects including watermains, sanitary and storm sewers and grading, sewage pumping stations, booster stations, elevated water towers and wastewater treatment facilities.
Working directly with multi discipline project team members as part of an integrated project team.
Engineering and contract administration related to municipal and water / wastewater projects. Duties will encompass the municipal, commercial, land development and mining sectors.
Preparation and coordination of approvals, tender documents, cost estimating, contract documents, reports including sealing the documents.
Participating in studies, assessments, preliminary and detailed design, cost estimates, specifications, contract documents, tendering and contract administration
Providing senior review and professional authentication of memos, reports, drawings and other engineering documents.
Preparing proposals and reports.
Liaising with clients, consultants, regulatory and utility agencies, and contractors.
Participating in Business Development initiatives.
Planning projects, developing accurate scopes of work, cost estimates, project plans, schedules and deliverables to execute high quality projects on time and on budget.
Working closely with engineers, designers, drafting and support staff.
Mentoring and coaching project teams including technical and field staff.
Supervision of junior engineers, technologists and designers.
Must be licensed as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) within the province of Ontario
Project management (PMP) designation considered an asset
7-10 years of progressive experience in conceptual, preliminary and detailed design of linear infrastructure, water and wastewater projects including;
pump stations, booster stations, elevated water towers, process optimization and treatment facilities
Experienced in meeting timelines and budgets, proposal writing, client development and other skills appropriate to consulting
Experience managing projects in AutoCAD, Revit and Microstation preferred
Proven, advanced level Excel skills and a proficiency with Microsoft Office
Proven capabilities in writing reports and other technical documents
Demonstrates superior English communication skills both oral and written
Possess a strong ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with staff and clients
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a collaborative, team environment
