Position Summary

The Sea Export Coordinator provides customer service and sales support within the Operations Department. You will have excellent people skills and a strong customer service focus to update and handle various customer inquiries.

You will be self-motivated, able to work under pressure and possess a strong desire to grow your career.

Responsibilities include

  • Provide assistance within the Sea Freight Export operations, primarily with Agricultural customers.
  • Ensure accurate processing of paperwork to minimize errors.
  • Arranging pick up of shipment, documentation, MBL, HBL, B-13’s etc.
  • Partnering with steamship lines and co-loaders to ship outbound cargo
  • Knowledge of Letters of Credit
  • Monitor and trace various cargo shipments until delivered
  • Billing and invoicing
  • Prepare and maintain various files and reports
  • Maintain accurate customer information
  • Assist the division / department manager in the effective maintenance of the companies ISO Policies.
  • Participate in meetings and overall objectives for the terminal.
  • Qualifications / Requirements

  • Able to multi-task in a fast paced environment and ability to meet deadlines
  • Formal Academic Training in related field (CITT or CIFFA preferred) and two to four years related experience and / or training;
  • or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Knowledge or past experience with agricultural products an asset
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Proficient computer skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
