We are recruiting for a Production Manager for our facility in Kanata, Ontario.


As a Production Manager your duties will include but not be limited to :

  • ITG Ottawa Operations is responsible for the production of sealed radioactive sources and / or radioactive products used as active pharmaceutical ingredients, radiopharmaceuticals and medical devices.
  • Assume responsibility for setting and planning the priorities for the Manufacturing Operations function in a nuclear facility to meet and exceed business unit objectives.
  • Provide management oversight to a team to ensure the execution of operations and support plans - including coaching; performance management;
  • selection and training.

  • Ensure that quality production standards are followed and maintained while monitoring production, inventory, safety, and maintenance programs.
  • Ensure that employees adhere to all safety regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Motivate and mentor team to drive team performance.
  • Create environment of integrity, authenticity, trust, collaboration, straight-talk, and respect.
  • Accountability for business outcomes as related to cost of sales, expenses, and capital budgeting.
  • Generate opportunities to enhance the standard of quality, safety, and excellence.
  • Design simplicity, timeliness, quality, and cost optimization into all customer requirements / deliveries.
  • Collaborate and integrate with other internal and external stakeholders.

  • Minimum Bachelor of Science or Engineering.
  • Completion of University level courses in the field of Microbiology is considered an asset.
  • A minimum of five years prior supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of GMPs is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge and understanding of nuclear facilities is considered an asset.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks without losing focus on priorities.
  • LeanSigma certification is considered an asset.
  • Experience working in a unionized environment is considered an asset.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written skills.
  • This position may require shift work that includes weekend coverage.
  • Includes working in a combination of office and industrial environments.
