POSITION SUMMARY :

The Resident Assistant is responsible for providing personal / quality medical care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, cultural and social needs of the residents.

All duties are performed in accordance with the Mission and Values of Providence Healthcare.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS REQUIRED :

  • Minimum level of education : Personal Support Worker Certificate obtained by an educational facility approved by the Ministry of Colleges and recognized by Providence Healthcare;
  • Long Term Care experience preferred;
  • Ability to read and write English competently;
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written;
  • Knowledge of computer documentation;
  • Strong interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team;
  • Strong sense of compassion and caring;
  • Very good attendance record;
  • Good performance record.
