The Motion Graphics Designer is responsible for creating 2D / 3D animation as well as video edits, logo treatments, title design, live corporate event design and visual storytelling for clients and projects.
This includes collaborating cross functionally with multiple creative, sales and marketing team members across the Freeman enterprise to support both internal marketing campaigns and external client work for each of the Freeman audiences including venues, corporate marketers and meeting planners.
As the Motion Graphics Designer, you’ll be a quick learner and a multitasking overachiever who loves all things graphic design.
Attend and participate in client meetings and consultations with sales team members to develop brand identity / messaging for our clients.
Engage in conceptual brainstorming and idea generation sessions, developing original creative content to help drive brand engagement
Develop, edit and deliver high quality, impactful brand content and messaging for clients
Design and create animated graphics ranging from standard video design to multi-screen live event design.
Produce show openers, titles, graphics, backgrounds and animations for video.
Story edit, cover and package content from concept to final delivery.
Manage and build client relationships
Estimate project time and resource requirements for quoting purposes.
Provide graphical support for sales proposals and large marketing initiatives
Source and organize large amounts of media to effectively manage a project.
Monitor project costs and keep internal and external clients informed to ensure budgets and deadlines are met.
Manage time, resources, documentation and administration of personal workload (i.e. client billing, job costs, monthly reports, payment)
On site operation as required
Perform other duties as assigned
Degree or certification in design, graphics, video or related field
5 years of experience in a similar role
Advanced knowledge of the Adobe CC Production suite
Strong sense of narrative, pacing and flow in corporate videos and live event production
Experience in 3D modeling and animation an asset (especially with Maxon Cinema 4D)
Stellar interpersonal skills you’ll be working with all levels of seniority.
Independent thinking, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, discretion, and integrity are a must
Willingness to get your hands dirty when the team needs you.
High-level organization skills in an always-changing environment
Willingness to work flexible hours and travel up to 5% of the time.
Robust verbal and written communications skills.
Bilingual an asset
