Come join the TurboTax Canada team as a Senior Product Designer!

As a Senior Product Designer, you’ll design experiences that span across our entire suite of tax products in addition to collaborating closely with our website teams.

You’ll enable our customers to maximize their refund and get the help they need by connecting with experts. You’ll have the opportunity to own new features, reimagine existing experiences, restructure business processes, all while brainstorming and sharing your ideas with cross-functional teammates.

What you'll bring

  • Own the end-to-end design efforts for the core Turbotax DIY productCollaborate with the Design team and our partners in Development, Product Management, and Marketing to ensure problems and interdependencies areholistically understood and solved from an ecosystem perspective
  • Deliver multiple projects simultaneously through robust communication and time management skills
  • Participate in and analyze extensive customer research to identify insights that will ultimately provide customer value and delight
  • Leverage iterative prototyping to quickly test concepts and learn from customers
  • Drive design decisions through data by partnering with our analytics team
  • Participate in and promote a culture of detailed feedback rooted in first principles, design rationale, customer data, and industry best practices
  • Assess and account for up and downstream impacts of new product releases through a strong understanding of information architecture
  • Effectively present and communicate your designs and rationale to a wide range of stakeholders, including senior management
  • Provide mentorship to co-ops and junior designers from a craft, and cross-discipline partnership perspective
  • How you will lead

  • Experience designing products with high degrees of complexity and cross-product interdependencies
  • A portfolio that demonstrates great visual design
  • A strong understanding of UX first principles and information architecture
  • The ability to bring stakeholders together, obtain, and synthesize their feedback to create amazing products
  • Experience facilitating workshops and conceptualizing ideas with disciplines outside of the Design team
  • Experience working in an environment of rapid experimentation and using data to drive your decisions
  • Comfort with ambiguity - working in environments where the end state is not clearly defined and experimentation is a must
