Here’s how we work :

IBI Group's Kelowna office is searching for an Architect to join its growing team. In this role you will have the opportunity to work with our High-rise residential group.

Most of the things you’ll work on :

  • Coordinate sub - consultants engineers
  • Work on multiple projects at the same time and lead small intermediate size teams to complete each project
  • Work with clients and user groups to develop concepts during schematic design and design development meetings
  • Organize and lead user group and client stakeholder meetings
  • Prepare meeting minutes and project schedules
  • Development / Building Permit drawings and coordination of permit approvals
  • Supervision of a project team
  • You'll need to have :

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture and / or a recognized Institution by the AIBC
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience as a project architect, with a focus on multi-family residential and high-rise / mixed-use projects
  • Must be registered with the AIBC, or eligible to be registered in the province of British Columbia
  • Potential to become a registered Architect considered an asset
  • Ability to understand how buildings are constructed and to create technical documents that succinctly describe the work to be done
  • Concrete High-rise experience is preffered
  • Strong leadership, organizational, communication and relationship-management skills;
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and other drafting programs such as Revit and Sketch up preferred
  • Local experience considered an asset
