Interior Health is seeking a dynamic and experienced Electrophysiologist (EP) Technologist Supervisor (Cardiology Technologist II) to lead the brand new EP Lab team at the Kelowna General Hospital, in Kelowna, B.C.
Kelowna General Hospital (KGH) is a 400 bed state-of-the-art tertiary centre serving not only the local population of 150,000, but is also the main referral center for the Interior Health Authority (population 750,000).
KGH is well established as the heart-centre’ for the interior of BC with its strong cardiology team providing diagnostic cardiac catheterization for over 30 years.
We are eagerly preparing to open our brand new Electrophysiology Lab in 2020, which is anticipated to provide immediate access to life-saving, advanced heart rhythm services to over 450 patients per year.
Under the direction of the Manager and Medical Director of the EP Program, the EP Technologist Supervisor is accountable for the supervision of the EP program.

Graduation from BCIT advanced certificate in Electrophysiology Technology or equivalent, plus five (5) years’ recent, related experience, including two years of supervisory experience and one year’s experience with programmed stimulator, geometric cardiac mapping systems, and cardiac recording systems or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Eligible for certification with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) as a Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) and / or Certification with the International Board of Heart Rhythm Exam (IBHRE) as a Certified Electrophysiology Specialist (CEPS).
