WHY YOU WANT THIS JOB

In this role, you will shape a meaningful vision, strategy and roadmap for different architecture focus area such as Data Center and Cloud computing at CN, while collaborating and influencing management and executives among various programs, from Business to I&T departments.

You will also lead the technology architecture practice and EA Initiative delivery related to Cloud & Infrastructure.

Your leadership skills are key to ensure collaborative governance over design and adoption of various design guidelines and standards across CN.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop a Cloud Adoption Strategy including the Cloud Computing reference architecture & Roadmap (Mid-Term);
  • Define and Lead EA Initiatives delivery e.g. Cloud Foundation and more;
  • Document the existing technology portfolio and propose recommendations for improvements and / or alternatives

  • Document existing and new cloud architectures;
  • Design and optimize cloud strategies for the cost-effective delivery of scalable and reliable systems

  • Evaluate current and emerging cloud and infrastructure technologies;
  • Lead of Communities of Practice (CoPs) for efficient brainstorming, governance and change management;
  • Develop cloud standards & best practices;
  • Create, support, and influence pragmatic architectural oversight, using principles, policies, and guardrails;
  • REQUIREMENTS

    Bachelor degree or more in computer science or related discipline.

    5-10 years of experience as an IT architect covering networking, infrastructure and database

    2-5 years of experience as senior architect in cloud computing technology including core services, compute & storage, database, API, DevOps platform, etc.

    SKILLS & EXPERIENCES

    In depth knowledge of networking, and cloud-based delivery models.

    Experience in program & project scoping and planning

    Experience in delivering agile architectures.

    Knowledge of current infrastructure automation & continuous integration / deployment.

    Understanding and experience with open source server software.

    Familiarity with standard IT security practices such as encryption, certificates and key management.

    Experience in software development in one or more languages such as Python, Java, C++, .Net core or similar, software design.

    Experience working with deployment and orchestration technologies (such as Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Puppet, Ansible, Jenkins).

    Experience with on-premise to cloud migrations or IT transformations

    Experience architecting / operating solutions build on Azure or GCP

    Security certification or relevant IT security experience (CISSP, CCSP)

    Preferred with certification(s) on Azure and / or Google Cloud Platform as Cloud Architect

    Preferred with certification(s) for ITIL concepts as a plus.
