Element Fleet Management is seeking a Sr. Communications Advisor to join our Communications team. The Sr. Communications Advisor is a key member of the Element Fleet Management Communications team, contributing to a culture of excellence in communications, public relations and marketing across our organization to enhance our brand, value proposition and client experience.
This role is focused on creating and managing compelling communications across multiple channels for our internal and external audiences.
We are looking for a rising star with excellent business-to-business writing and communications skills, ready to make an impact on the culture, brand and growth of an industry leader in a rapidly changing environment.
The incumbent produces a variety of written materials for communications initiatives, website, digital and social media platforms as well as traditional media, and is proficient in online and social media technologies.
Duties & Responsibilities :
Manage ongoing, relevant communications and updates to our employees, clients, and other stakeholders.
Develop and deliver compelling content for various communication channels including in-person, email, web, social, video, and for use with industry media.
Work with internal stakeholders to develop and execute communication plans for one-time events and ongoing needs.
Contribute to media relations activities, including work with industry media and working with subject matter experts to create content for use of media relations activities.
Generate ideas and write posts for key company social networks and press releases.
Support achievement of the organization’s strategic objectives through development and dissemination of various employee communications and public relations strategies.
Occasional travel between the U.S. and Canada.
BA / BS Communications, Journalism, English, PR or related field required
Minimum 4 years complex work experience in corporate Communications
Experience developing and executing communication plans in a corporate environment
Experience in Financial Services. Fleet industry experience preferred
Experience creating and managing online content
Ability to work closely with internal and external partners and stakeholders in planning and implementing communications strategies
Ability to provide strategic communications advice, and facilitate problem solving in achieving results
Good oral communications and presentation skills
A high degree of judgement, discretion and decision-making ability
Ability to analyze, problem-solve, mediate and mitigate difficult situations
Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to work independently and as a team player
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work under tight deadlines and pressures, with scrupulous attention to details
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information in an appropriate manner
Knowledge of digital media and Web 2.0 to innovate communications strategies
Proficiency with MS Office Suite
Working knowledge of Photoshop preferred
