We are looking for an Administrative Assistant / Receptionist to help support our head office operations. This individual must be organized, creative, and have some knowledge of administrative duties.

Comfort Keepers is widely recognized as a leading provider of quality in-home care to seniors and other clients who need help with the activities of daily living.

We provide services from Vancouver through to Abbotsford, with over 200 employees. The head office in White Rock is the scheduling and operational hub.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities :

  • Answers the telephone and gives information to caller or routes call to appropriate individual.
  • Coordinates meetings and appointments for office as required.
  • Processes employment applications and assists in other employment activities, screening, interviewing, reference checking, and new employee orientation according to established guidelines.
  • Processes incoming mail. Answers routine correspondence. Prepares outgoing mail. Files correspondence and other records.
  • Responsible for ordering and maintaining office supplies, forms, and equipment.
  • Assist with filing duties and a variety of other clerical duties as necessary.
  • Types memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents.
  • Assists with special projects throughout the office, as assigned.
  • May assist with the scheduling of client appointments via the customer management database
  • Maintain statistical data and report requirements
  • Other duties as required
  • Qualifications, Skills and Abilities :

  • Solid administrative skills, accurate data entry skills, and MS Office skills
  • Strong aptitude to learn and use the functions of a customer management database
  • Strong internet skills
  • Comfortable communicating by phone and in-person, with excellent customer service
  • Independent and self-motivated, with well-developed organizing, time management and problem-solving ability
  • Flexible and friendly attitude
  • Able to work effectively and contribute within a team environment
  • Ability to give and receive positive and constructive feedback
  • Clear Criminal Records Check
  • Interest in the healthcare service field and / or interest in working with seniors is an asset
