POSITION : Junior Accountant, Accounts Payable

LOCATION : Toronto (M5C 3G7)

STATUS : 1 Contract (12 months), 1 Full-time

JOB OVERVIEW

In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing timely and accurate processing of accounts payable and employee expense report submissions.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Assist in all functions relating to accounts payable cycle including the following :
  • Open mail, scan and index invoices to Doclink and route for proper approval
  • Input invoices daily to Epicor software and ensure proper coding
  • Prepare daily disbursements using payment methods cheque, TD, AMEX or wire transfer and obtain appropriate approvals for payments
  • Review and respond to inquiries received through the AP & Concur mailbox
  • Monitor vendor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
  • Administration of the employee corporate card program using the Concur Expense Reporting tool including the following :
  • Set up Amex application profile on Amex work
  • Provide a secondary review of all employee expenses
  • Perform regular audits of cash reimbursement expenses
  • Prepare monthly extract file of cash expenses to be reimbursed through payroll
  • WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Prior experience in an accounts payable function or accounting function an asset
  • Post-secondary education.
  • An understanding of the accounts payable cycle
  • Strong organizational, time management and communication skills
  • Exceptional data entry skills with strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency in PC skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize appropriately to meet deadlines
  • Works well in a team environment.
  • Willingness to take on additional tasks in order to grow in position
