Acoustic Characterization Engineer
Soundskrit is an early stage start-up in Montreal, Canada. We are leveraging years of research in bio-inspired MEMS microphones to develop the first multi-directional acoustic flow sensor that can capture and isolate any sound in the environment with a fraction of the size, power, and computation of alternative solutions.
Our proprietary hardware senses acoustic waves in a fundamentally new way to provide a level of sound localization and separation not previously obtainable.
With our proprietary algorithms, we unlock a suite of audio features with outstanding performance : far-field voice capture, spatial audio recordings for immersive audio rendering, audio event characterization and much more.
As an Acoustic Characterization Engineer, you will be responsible for the acoustic testing of Soundskritâ€™s early microphone prototypes.
You will work closely with the MEMS design team to understand the behaviour of the microphone and the influence of different parameters including membrane geometry, electrical circuit, and bias voltage to optimize the sensorâ€™s signal-to-noise ratio, dynamic range, frequency response, etc.
This role will be critical in developing the companyâ€™s first commercial devices and you will be a key player in the companyâ€™s success! Our ideal start date is August 2020, full-time, right here in Montreal.
