The ST-Engineer, Process-Packaging assists with improvements to production safety, quality, capacity, reliability, cost per 1000 dosages, customer service and regulatory compliance in the Packaging department.
As a member of a team, the ST-Engineer, Process-Packaging works with others in Solid Dose in an attempt to reduce or eliminate non-value added activities or costs, while maintaining or improving quality, productivity and timeliness of the projects being managed.
Work closely with Packaging Technicians and the Packaging Technical team to understand and analyze packaging processes and equipment in order to make continuous improvements focusing on Safety, Quality and Productivity.
Manage resources to complete projects on schedule and create contingency plans to ensure minimal production impact.
Liaise regularly with Packaging Operations, Engineering, and Quality Assurance and SHE group to coordinate project activities.
Following Change Control requirement, coordinate the installation and commissioning of production equipment, including completing equipment installation and operational qualifications (IQ / OQs) for new and existing equipment, as required.
Seek out issues and recommend solutions for improvements in production processes, reliability and compliance to Packaging Operations, Engineering and Quality Assurance.
Generate maintenance and operational Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), as required.
Ensure that all work is performed in full compliance with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), SOPs and in accordance with established Safety Standards.

Education Must be enrolled in a recognized post-secondary Co-op education program.Preferred School and Programs : University of Toronto, Ryerson, Humber College (Engineering, Sciences or related technical field).
