The Community Operations and Programs Branch provides a range of local services in various Yukon communities, including water and wastewater treatment, solid waste management, recycling, and mosquito control.

This position is integral to the provision of water and wastewater services in northern and central Yukon. The position is responsible for supervising the operation and maintenance of the Dawson City Wastewater Treatment Plant and for overseeing the operation and maintenance of small water treatment facilities in unincorporated communities in the region.

This position is a working supervisor position that supervises two plant operators assigned to the region and may at times also manage work being done by contractors.

Essential Qualifications :

  • EOCP Level 2 Wastewater Treatment Certification
  • EOCP Certification for Small Water Systems
  • Supervisory experience
  • Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Suitability :
