We are looking for a self-confident, persuasive, and resourceful Business Development Coordinator. The position is highly collaborative and requires a solid ability to triage and facilitate meetings with engineers and other technical staff members in order to gather information, obtain clarification of requirements, and create project proposals.

To be successful as TWD’s newest Business Development Coordinate, the ideal candidate will possess excellent written communication skills and a strong attention to detail.

You will take pride in preparing our proposals in a professional and convincing manner. This role demands excellent organizational and time-management abilities as you will usually be multitasking and handling several proposal assignments with client deadlines that have to be met.

As such, the ideal candidate should be used to working under time driven pressure while maintaining a pride in delivering a quality end product.

You are required to be a proactive, independent thinker, and actively participate in all phases of the proposal process.

Efficient coordination with the writing team and other internal project members is of key importance. Your ultimate goal is to articulate the company’s proposals and present our services in the best possible light contributing to TWD’s overall success

  • We are looking to hire a BD Coordinator to support our Edmonton, AB office.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    Business Development Coordinator you’ll work as part of the Business Development team to provide deliverables to a variety of regional team leads and project leads.

    Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to :

  • Assist in proposal preparation including generation, writing and research
  • Coordinate proposal development including adhering to proposal schedule deadlines and ensuring that other teams and staff know, prioritize and fulfill their responsibility to the deadline
  • Editing and revising proposals according to feedback.
  • Maintaining consistency in proposal writing by following company policies and brand standards
  • Develop innovative and creative proposal presentations (digital presentations / videos / interactive PPs and PDFs) to increase our likelihood of winning proposals
  • Ensure inquiry and proposal process is conducted in a timely manner that meets internal procedures and customer satisfaction.
  • Researching, writing, and organizing information in a professional and credible manner.
  • Attending meetings and identifying opportunities for proposal writing
  • Help facilitate a high level of collaboration between multiple stakeholders.
  • Comply and use CRM database to track all proposal information required to develop weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
  • Ensure data is accurate and updated real-time

  • Assist in TWD promotional items program.
  • Assist in updating TWD social media feeds.
  • Support in developing new TWD Project Profiles.
  • Ensure consistency of all internal and external documentation and communications.
  • Supporting the re-branding of resumes and other promotional material
  • Support and assist TWD Business Development team in meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Contribute to company business development activities.
  • Provide administrative support for Business Development team.
  • Assist in preparing and distributing reports that support the sales team.
  • Take on special projects, initiatives and other duties as assigned
  • ROLE COMPETENCIES

  • High Level of Excel, MS Office and PowerPoint Skill Set

  • Concise and precise writing style with accurate grammar and composition skills

  • Qualifications

  • College / University Diploma or Degree in Business or Administration
  • 2 + years of experience in technical writing an asset
  • Proficient in MS Office Applications
  • Experience in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign is an asset
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills
  • Experience with creating effective marketing and promotional materials an asset
  • Detail oriented professional
  • Ability to conduct themselves in a professional and discreet manner.
  • Previous experience in proposal writing may be advantageous.
  • Solid computer literacy and skill in using the internet for research
  • Analytical and comfortable working with databases
  • Comfortable working independently and in a team environment
