The Human Resources Recruiter is responsible for full cycle recruiting for the Eastern Region client group to ensure the best possible talent is selected for new and replacement positions within the Region.

This role will work collaboratively with HR team members, hiring managers and external search organizations, in a high volume, high paced environment, to secure candidates for open positions within union and non-unionized environments.


  • Work collaboratively with Human Resources and Hiring Managers to provide full service recruitment to the Eastern Region.
  • Provide advice and expertise to managers and employees on staffing policies and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with Hiring Managers to develop job descriptions / job postings for open roles.
  • Perform searches for qualified candidates according to relevant job criteria, using Jazz (recruitmentdatabase), networking, internet recruiting / other media, recruiting firms and employee referrals.
  • Review and evaluate applicant qualifications and eligibility for required criteria as per job posting.
  • Contact applicants to inform them of employment possibilities, consideration, and selection.
  • Pre-screen and interview applicants to obtain information on work history, training, education, and job skills as they relate to the open position.
  • Coordinate interviews with candidates and managers as required.
  • Conduct reference and background checks on all applicants in accordance with Company policy.
  • Contact successful and unsuccessful applicants to inform them of decisions.
  • Collaborate with HR Coordinators to initiate offer letters and hiring packages to successful candidates. Coordinate with HR team members for all other employee onboarding activities.
  • Responsible for weekly reporting on North American recruitment activity as well as quarterly and year end reporting scorecards.
  • Work with external partners where applicable to build relationships and to generate new, creative and cost effective recruitment sourcing vehicles.
  • Ensure all recruitment activities are conducted and completed in accordance with HR policy, expected response times and comply with corporate governance and audit requirements.
  • Act as the co-chair / back up lead to quarterly service excellence training for onboarding new hires.
  • Other Recruitment / HR related duties as may be required.

    This position requires a results driven individual who understands the importance of providing outstanding customer service through excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    Must be detail oriented with good analytical and negotiation skills. Must be a highly motivated self-starter, courteous, with a positive attitude and professional image.

    The ideal candidate will be flexible, adaptable and be able to meet tight deadlines in an environment with multiple and changing priorities.

    The ideal candidate must have strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to work with all levels of the organization and with external customers.

    Confidentiality is critical to the role.


  • Minimum 2-3 years of full-cycle recruiting, with the ability to handle large volume of recruitment activity. Previous experience within the real estate industry considered an asset.
  • Strong MS Word, Excel, Outlook is required.
  • Working knowledge of Workday considered an asset.
  • Prior experience with JAZZ Recruitment or other Recruitment Technology preferred but not required.

  • Preference will be given to candidates who have a University degree in a related field
