From conception through to sustainable nameplate operations our experienced OCR teams develop and deploy procedures, implement systems and workplace tools, and support our Clients businesses deliver faster ramp up performance in a safe and efficient manner allowing for the smooth, sustained operation of newly created or modified assets.

Our Advisory team is currently seeking a leader who is interested in :

  • Leading our regional team who work dynamically and collaboratively with client teams in every operational readiness, commissioning and ramp up (OCR) project;
  • Accessing and using class leading OCR systems and operations, as well as industry specific expertise to execute the OCR scope of work;
  • The ability to develop and offer tailor-made OCR services across the various project phases, to ensure the client’s project business case is reflected in every OCR plan;
  • The ability to effectively support the Client operations beyond the project phase through performance enhancement activities such as reliability and productivity optimisation;
  • Working closely with the company’s Digital Practice - providing digital technology and solutions to positively transform clients' businesses across the metals, energy and infrastructure sectors.

  • Successful candidates will be engaged to work on and lead key project and client teams as well as actively contributing as a regional leader to the further development of the practice.

    Key responsibilities of this role include :

  • Leading the engagement with clients to identify risks and opportunities;
  • Lead Clients in the development of suitable OCR planning and execution processes;
  • Project Management : Facilitate, lead and / or mentor clients and teams in a dynamic environment to manage and execute OCR in areas including : project controls, risk management, quality assurance, OCR development / execution and document management processes;
  • Actively lead and manage client engagements and business development activities
  • Expand our OCR offerings and footprint across the region
  • Represent OCR at the Advisory regional leadership team (RLT).
  • Ideal candidates will be high energy self-starters who are able to demonstrate their skills and experience and / or potential in the following areas :

  • Excellent safety awareness and experience working above and beyond industry standards;
  • Experience in an operations facility, production, maintenance, supply chain and logistics and / or engineering;
  • Sensitivity to customer’s needs; with the ability to develop sustainable, open and honest relationships with Clients and colleagues alike;
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills;
  • Team leadership skills and willingness to effectively collaborate with others;
  • Ability to negotiate and influence others to achieve best for project / business outcomes;
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of Microsoft suite and a planning tool such as MS Project;
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally for business.
  • Your application will further be strengthened if you also possess :

  • Cross functional experience in operations facilities;
  • Has held manager or supervisor position in an operations facility
  • Experience working in a project environment and particularly ramping up greenfield facilities;
  • Demonstrated Client engagement skills (from identifying leads and securing work to maintaining and building Client relationships / networks);
  • Experience contributing to bids, proposals, and commercial documents (estimates etc.);
  • An engineering degree and a minimum of 10 years relevant experience is required.
