The ideal candidate must have 5+ years of experience, possess stronginitiative and be able to work with minimal supervision, as well as part of ateam.

Salary : $65K++

Main Responsibilities :

  • Communicating and coordinating with otherlawyers, opposing counsel and clients to close transactions
  • Preparing guarantees, security agreements,officer's certificates, board resolutions, closing agendas and estoppel letters
  • Performing, summarizing and analyzing PPSA andother customary financing searches
  • Assisting with forms of lending legal diligence
  • Preparing and registering Personal PropertySecurity Act (PPSA) financing statements in all provinces of Canada
  • Preparing closing books
  • Maintaining a database of precedent agreementsfor use by the team in future transactions
  • Qualifications :

  • 5 or more years' experience in banking andfinancial services law at a transaction-oriented Law firm
  • An undergraduate university degree and / or acollege Law Clerk diploma with excellent Academic credentials
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and client serviceskills
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detailand a problem-solving mindset
  • Confident and dependable, with strong initiativeand ability to work both independently and in a team oriented atmosphere
