  • We are currently seeking an Operations Manager for our Bucks Auto Parts location in Sherwood Park, Alberta. The Operations Manager coordinates all aspects of site operations including but not limited to;
  • sales, production, purchasing, customer service and managing a team. The Operations Manager will also ensure that the site remains safe and environmentally compliant, while effectively and efficiently working within the guidelines of the administrative policies and procedures of the company.

  • Responsible for staffing scheduling and managing the day-to-date operations of the site
  • Responsible for recruitment and selection of employees
  • Provide performance feedback, counseling, coaching and training to the team
  • Follows company policy and procedures and leads by example
  • Ensure policies and procedures are communicated and implemented
  • Prepares operating reports for the management and operations team
  • Responsible for the overall safeguarding of company assets
  • Partner with all internal corporate support resources to ensure compliance with all regulations and policies to achieve results
  • Contribute operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; prepare and complete action plans;
  • implement production, productivity, quality and customer-service standards; resolve problems; complete audits; identify trends

  • Develop operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements; develop, implement, enforce and evaluate policies and procedures;
  • develop processes for receiving product, equipment utilization, inventory management and shipping

  • Analyze process workflow, employee and space requirements and equipment layout; implement changes
  • Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations
  • Communicate customer issues with operations team and devise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints
  • Develop and maintain equipment maintenance schedule
  • Job Requirements

  • Minimum of a 3 years’ management or leadership experience in industrial manufacturing, automotive or distribution
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills
  • Proven leadership and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Solid quantitative skills to understand site financial performance and operating statistics (KPIs)
  • Must have the ability to reconcile sales, prepare reports and read technical manuals
  • Able to handle multiple priorities while performing quality work in an efficient manner with minimal supervision
  • Able to work required hours which includes weekends and holidays and also at any site assigned within reasonable distance from home site
  • Loader and heavy equipment operator license preferred but not required
  • All applicants must be legally able to work in Canada without sponsorship.
