What is the opportunity?

Reporting to the Manager of Business Development, the Senior Business Development Consultant will work in dynamic team whose focus is to help Investment Advisors with RBC Dominion Securities grow their business through best practices, customized marketing strategies, digital media initiatives.

You must possess superior communication & presentation skills, able to thrive in a fast paced high environment and possess the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

What will you do?

  • Be the center of expertise on business development and digital marketing trends and best practices
  • Deliver presentations to Dominion Securities sales force (Branch Managers, Investment Advisors, and Associates) on a variety of related topics
  • Ongoing consultations with Investment Advisors and Branch Managers on marketing resources, business development and digital marketing ideas
  • Aid in the creation of new tools and strategies to help generate business for Investment Advisors
  • Act as a key resource and trainer for all new Investment Advisors in the new IA training program
  • Work with other head office groups to build marketing tools
  • What do you need to succeed?

    Must Have :

  • In-depth understanding of the financial industry, specifically Retail Brokerage
  • Undergraduate university degree
  • Strong presentation skills, including excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • 5+ years industry experience in the financial sector
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Nice to have :

  • 5+ plus years in a sales environment or in business development
  • Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and / or Financial Planning experience and Post-Graduate degree
  • Strong digital marketing knowledge
  • French or other languages
