Primary Responsibilities :

  • Participate in definition, specification and design of software features.
  • Work in a team and individually to develop software according to design and customer requirements.
  • Perform integration and test procedures and create reports for product compliance.
  • Participate in the on-going support of applications and products, both in-house and with clients.
  • Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws / regulations OR
  • In absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience is required
  • Must be a Canadian Citizen
  • Must either hold or be eligible for a Government of Canada Secret Level Security Clearance and Controlled Good Access.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Sound skills in C / C++ and real-time embedded computer architectures
  • Software development experience in Linux operating systems
  • Integrated Development Environments such as Eclipse and Visual Studio
  • Version Control Systems such as git
  • Object Oriented programming skills
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical skills
  • Knowledgeable in networking and wireless communication protocols such as TCP, RTP, VoIP
  • Knowledgeable in the software life cycle including definition, requirement analysis and design, implementation, validation and support

  • Good team working ability and self-motivated with a desire to learn
  • Relational database experience would be an asset
