About IP Routing :

The IP Routing (IPR) division leads the industry with the best Network Processor technology (FP4 2.4 Tb / s), QoS, parallel processing, Network Function Virtualization, and product quality.

Education Recommendations :

Currently a 2nd or 3rd year candidate for a Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering or related field with an accredited school in Canada.

  • Solid understanding of hardware electronics concepts
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral
  • Self-confidence, self-motivation, and a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently
  • What you’ll be doing :

  • Verifying circuit designs using a variety of test gear : 20 GHz oscilloscopes, network analyzers, interface testers
  • Testing hardware under various thermal and environmental conditions
  • Completing the final assembly of new prototype units
  • Debugging circuit boards
  • Qualifying new circuit components
  • Developing custom automation scripts (Perl, Python, TCL) to control test equipment
  • As a co-op in the IPR Hardware group you will work with a highly experienced hardware development team that designs, builds and supports hardware solutions for Nokia's routing platforms.

    You will gain practical hands-on experience working in the lab on the latest prototype circuit boards alongside hardware developers.
