Our client, an accomplished personal injury and insurance litigation firm representing numerous companies, is looking for an Insurance Defence Legal Assistant to assist the team and a busy Partner with the preparation of legal documents, maintenance of databases and files, and review of legal data.

Location : Downtown Toronto Primary Responsibilities :
Draft and review outgoing correspondence and legal documents (ACL Generator).
Manage and maintain paper and electronic files and update legal information in electronic database.
Compile, organize, and review legal data and information for accuracy and completeness and detect and report issues.
Notify appropriate parties regarding incoming correspondence and distribute memos to corresponding internal parties.
Establish deadlines and priorities.
Other duties as assigned.
Legal Assistant / Law Clerk diploma
Strong verbal and written communication and dictation skills
Detail-oriented with exceptional computer, data entry, and analytical skills
Proven organizational, prioritizing, multi-tasking, and time-management skills
Flexible and dependable with ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
Knowledge of Insurance Defence Law
Experience using ACL5 would be an asset
