Performance Expectations

Maintain department 5S requirements.

Submit and implement lean and safety suggestions

Follow priorities set by supervisors and sequence their tasks within a set framework.

Perform quality checks as required.

Interfaces with Lead hands, Set-up personnel, Maintenance workers and co-workers.

Responsible for quality control. Reject product outside of specifications.

Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).

Communicate with operators from other shifts.

Provide on-the-job guidance to new employees.

Maintain a clean and safe work area and notify your Supervisor or Manager of any known hazards

Credentials

High School Diploma or equivalent general education.

Able to use computerized equipment, such as weigh scales, labeling machines and monitoring processes, such as casting.

Must have ability to safely lift up to 40-45 lbs on a frequent basis.

Desired Characteristics

Able to communicate with co-workers to exchange information about tasks and to coordinate work.

Ability to work mainly independently and in team to carry out tasks which require cooperation, such as lifting heavy objects.

Learn continuously on the job through workplace training.
