Technical Product Manager TELUS Environmental Solutions
TELUS Environmental Solutions Inc. (TESI) is growing and we need to evolve our products & services to be the market leaders in the growing environmental services market as we continue to scale.
You have 5 years of experience in a product development. You have experience helping customers solve complex challenges through innovative and emerging technology.
You have business and technical acumen - demonstrated ability to identify and articulate financially sound TELUS solutions to customer's business problems through understanding the technologies, products, services and resources.
What you’ll do
Own and drive our modernization strategy, advancing the TESI ecosystem strategy; acting as project manager to develop vision, project plan and track implementation of certain initiatives
Spearhead initiatives to mature our delivery practices including automation, testing and deployment practices
Effectively connect the dots between technology, architecture, business, and customer experience
Follow technical trends in the industry and maintain your technology expertise
Effectively communicate strategy and roadmap for a non-technical audience, in verbal and written form, including presentations
Support business case development to identify opportunities, garner stakeholder buy-in and secure resources and funding
Lead your peers by example in using agile practices and values by actively participating, driving discussions, and empowering team members to make decisions
Bring expertise to help deliver capabilities across products, systems and processes to scale and grow new verticals for our B2B and other market segments.
You are the missing piece of the puzzle
Self-starter with initiative and the flexibility to handle ambiguity
Minimum 5 years of previous technical or software development experience with a strong foundation in and knowledge of agile process and principles
Understanding of cloud and local APIs, interface agreements, etc.
Recognized for your work in any combination of product management, solutioning, development, or engineering
Excel in a collaborative and cross-functional setting, with an ability to co-create and execute with other business primes;
interest in learning from others, and in teaching others
Experience delivering complex solutions, while making the case for intelligent trade-offs between delivery time / quality / scope and cost;
can foresee escalations and proactively solve delivery issues
Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills are necessary - must be able to schedule and manage multiple complex tasks
Great-to-haves
Knowledge or previous experience in environmental technology and sustainability
Experience working directly with third party offshore development teams
Have worked in large complex technology organizations
Project Management, Product Owner, or Scrum Master Certification
