Description We are actively looking for a Bilingual Junior Technical Support Specialist for a 3-6 months contract. The incumbent reports to the End User Technology Manager providing level one support for end user hardware and software to all corporate users.


To successfully complete the above mandate, the preferred individual must be able to :

  • Record all incidents and requests in our ticketing system.
  • Escalate all PROB?s (incident that is affecting more than one person) type of incidents to the team.
  • Resolve problems with end user devices such as desktops, laptops, printers and mobile phones (Iphones).
  • Installing new desktops, peripheral hardware, software; administrating accounts; and updating hardware and software inventories.
  • Assist in the development and documentation of standards and solutions.
  • Support and assist with the training of the user community during technology rollouts
  • Troubleshoot software incidents and inconsistencies.
  • Cross-train other members to ensure continuity of support.
  • Quickly escalate complex problems to the appropriate resources for resolution.
  • Team with other MIS members, end-users, management and suppliers to develop and implement solutions and resolve problems.
  • Direct service calls to ensure corrective services are received.
  • Review and be accountable for meeting deadlines.
  • Assume all delegated responsibilities to related to :
  • Account management.
  • Hardware inventory management.
  • Software inventory.

  • Technical Expertise

  • Minimum of 2 years technical experience in an IT environment.
  • Strong working knowledge with desktop and peripherals in a networked environment.
  • Have an understanding of overall business processes.
  • Ability to effectively distinguish validity of requirements through experience.
  • Good troubleshooting skills.
