What is the opportunity?

As a strong contributor to strategic priorities for Canadian Banking (CB) and CB Operations, you will partner with Commercial Account Managers (CAM) in support of the credit renewal process for >

$1MM TSNE files. You will deliver superior client service and structure transactions with a client centric approach. You will develop strong partnerships with CAM, Group Risk Management (GRM) and Business Service Centres (BSC) to optimize the internal process and improve effectiveness.

What will you do?

  • Review and establish clients’ BRR and ensure credit structures mitigate credit risks
  • Exercise due diligence in recommending credit renewals to GRM re : know your client, know the transaction, credit structure, risk analysis and client strategy
  • Develop specialized knowledge and experience of specific industry / segment(s) to better support credit needs of CAMs and their clients.
  • Meet and exceed client turn around expectations on new / increased credit requests / renewals
  • Recognize opportunities to reduce covenants and collateral security where warranted.
  • Maximize opportunity spotting to enhance client retention, referrals, and sales activities.
  • Takes ownership to resolve client escalations effectively.
  • Influence portfolio quality through credit risk assessment, strategic assessment and proactive management of expired credits.
  • Must-have

  • Commercial credit risk or Adjudication experience.
  • Agriculture Industry knowledge.
  • Strong financial statement analysis experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a partnering philosophy.
  • Ability to deal with escalations and apply strong negotiation skills.
  • Capacity to manage work volumes to meet deadlines
  • Nice-to-have

  • Commercial Account Management experience.
