The Opportunity : Associate, Tax Technology and Transformation

We are looking for an Associate with an eye towards growing their career in the tax technology sector to join our team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop a practice area around the technology sector which will include interaction with our global network, national specialist and local industry organizations.

You will be responsible for providing a wide range of tax services to private and public companies.

Responsibilities :

  • Contribute to a portfolio of clients that vary in size and scope and act as a key project contributor for external and internal clients
  • Contribute to development and testing of automation projects to improve profitability of the practice and reduce the volume of mechanical tasks
  • Effectively identify and improve business processes
  • Participate in and contribute to market and business activities external to the firm
  • Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology and / or related discipline
  • Strong technical background and broad-based tax skills as a result of 2+ years of prior experience in a professional services firm or in industry, with a minimum of 1 years of tax technology experience
  • Proficiency in MS Excel functions / features (including understanding of IF, AND, OR and other logic tests)
  • Exposure in Alteryx or advanced Excel features such as PowerQuery, PowerPivot and PowerBI is an asset
  • Have proven experience in analysing problems, identifying root cause issues, and investigating and evaluating solutions.
  • Be self-motivated and have the ability to work without supervision.
  • Be able to demonstrate an ability to work as a team, and to collaborate across a national consulting practice to build meaningful and influential relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple assignments
  • Strong interpersonal, teaming consensus building and relationship management skills
  • Superior problem solving skills, excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical capability, sound business sense and creative mind that have earned you a reputation of providing excellence in client service
