Field Service Technician Location Regina, Winnipeg, Calgary, Quebec and Toronto Reports to Manager Field Services Department Operations Primary Function Key responsibilities include : work closely with internal team members to provide best case solutions for customers.

Provide excellent on-site and remote customer service. Must be able to work independently, under high-pressure, deadline sensitive time frames and be able to resolve a variety of complex requests.

The relationship is such that we provide support and direction outside of regular business hours to our VIP customers. Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service and product knowledge within the Technical area of Telecommunications both hardware and software.
  • Assist with technical areas of sales, support and product implementations.
  • Work closely with internal team members to provide best case solutions for customers.
  • Work as the lead technician for installations and implementations.
  • Assist with technical areas of sales, support and product implementations.
  • Provide Technical Support on minor and major system problems.
  • MAC (moves, adds and changes).
  • Support Sub-Contractors.
  • Completion of supporting documentation.
  • On-Call and overtime may be required.

  • Definity, Intuity / Audix, Octel
  • S8300, S8500, S8700
  • Partner, Legend, Magix
  • Nortel Technician Requirements

  • M1, Succession, Symposium
  • Call Pilot, Meridian Mail
  • BCM 50, 200, 400
  • CS1000 (release 5.0 an asset)
  • Requirements

  • Avaya ,Cisco, and Nortel Certifications.
  • Certification in VOIP or Data Certifications will be considered an asset.
  • 3 5 years telecommunication experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service techniques.
  • Self-motivated and outstanding work ethics.
  • Call centre implementation and service experience an asset.
  • Previously knowledge of SIMS will be considered an asset
  • Valid driver’s license with a driver’s abstract
  • Desired Skills & Experience Education & Experience :

  • Expert level Certification on products serviced by Connex (Avaya, Cisco (CCNP), Nortel.
  • 10 years working in telecommunications industry
  • College degree or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good command of the English language both written and verbal
  • Skills, Knowledge & Abilities :

  • Superior knowledge of telecom, datacom, IP and related technologies and applications
  • Has a logical mind and can work well under pressure
  • Energetic and self-motivated with a passion for the customer
  • Team player comfortable working with minimum supervision.
  • Skill in exercising independent and prudent judgment.
