Summary of Duties :
The ConnectingOntario Program will integrate electronic patient health information from across the continuum of care to improve patient care in Ontario.
The Program is sponsored by the five GTA Local Health Integration Networks (LHINs) Central, Central East, Central West, Mississauga-
Halton and Toronto Central and is funded by eHealth Ontario. As a cornerstone information system, ConnectingOntario supports eHealth Ontario’s clinical priorities by providing clinicians with access to relevant patient health information at the point of care.
Sunnybrook currently has a temporary full-time opportunity for a Business Analyst in our Project Management Office supporting the ConnectingOntario implementation in the GTA region.
Reporting to the Project Director, the Business Analyst will have the following responsibilities and job duties :
Engage directly with external stakeholders to support sites in completing project tasks within project plan timelines
Facilitate and lead meetings, workshops, and presentations with external stakeholders
Provide frequent communication on project status, issues and risks with ConnectingOntario project team members; escalating where necessary to Project Manager and Project Director
Manage detailed work plans, schedules, activity logs, and status reports.
Work with project managers to identify project delivery opportunities, status, risks and threats
Develop internal and external meeting objectives and agendas
Lead project and functional team meetings where appropriate
Ensure project alignment with PMO policies and methodologies, supporting guidelines, standards and best practices.
Work in close collaboration with the eHealth Ontario ConnectingOntario clinical engagement team
Coordinate and manage multiple deliverables with competing priorities
Travel to external sites across the GTA to support sites in completing implementation and adoption activities
Work effectively with minimal supervision and remotely as required
Qualifications & Skills :
University degree required in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, Health Sciences and / or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a Business Analyst, Project Coordinator, or Project Manager role
Sound knowledge of project management and applicable healthcare industry experience
Experience with MS Office with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Sharepoint, and Visio
Qualifications & Skills preferred : Familiarity with privacy and security concepts such as PIAs and TRAsProject Management Professional (PMP) certificationPrior experience in a project coordinator / analyst role within a healthcare environment is considered a strong asset.
Excellent oral and written communication skills Analytical abilities and ability to work effectively with technical & business users Ability to work effectively with all levels of management
Ability to deliver clear, effective and engaging presentations and reports for purposes of stakeholder engagement
Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks and manage deadlines effectively
