Basic Purpose :

Responsible for retention and growth of key relationships within the Canadian marketplace. Meet established goals including retaining existing business, cross-

selling opportunities and responsible for developing and executing strategic plans. Coordinates and manages an enterprise wide view of complex clients with global business and potential / actual buyers of products.

Relationship Management

  • As a Relationship Manager, complete with the assistance of designated team members, an annual Account Plan which addresses profitability, up-
  • sell / cross sell, retention and client satisfaction; co-ordinate the execution of the Plan annually

  • Provides root cause analysis and develops solutions with local service teams and makes recommendations to senior management
  • Manages information flow internally and with clients regarding service issues, remediation plans and status
  • Serves as focal point with client for the collection and resolution for all service issues
  • Partners with Relationship Managers and local client service officers to develop synergies, leverage experience and expertise, and improve overall service delivery model
  • Identifies cross-sell opportunities and targets appropriate individuals in client organizations
  • Facilitates cross divisional resolution of business line conflicts; elevates issues to next level of executive management as appropriate
  • Coordinates cross divisional / site efforts as needed
  • Collaborates with sales team when products are eligible for relationship management coverage
  • Disseminates relevant information to clients on an ongoing basis, in a standard format, using appropriate reporting mechanisms;
  • coordinates scheduled workshops; promotes function throughout State Street; participates in relationship management team meetings

  • Provides consistent messaging to clients
  • Develops and maintains account plans across businesses
  • In conjunction with business lines, accumulates client information technology development requirements. Participates in the technology priority setting process;
  • acts as an advocate for relationship management clients.

    Requirements :

  • Bachelors Degree in business or related field; MBA preferred
  • Minimum 10 years related experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of key account management relationships and ability to leverage relationships to enhance the company’s position
  • Demonstrated expertise in asset management, asset servicing and trading
  • Sales, client service and relationship management skills
  • Ability to negotiate and influence others
