In this role, as a key member of our TELUS Health team, you will be joining a growing team of specialists, who are working to transform & convert health data for Canadian doctors to a TELUS Electronic Medical Record (EMR).

This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your experience and skill set within an innovative and collaborative environment.

Your work will be crucial to the success of the EMR platform within TELUS Health.

Here's how

  • Responding to escalations received from any team on events and problems
  • Providing timely resolutions within the contracted service levels for all client supported software, hardware, and local area network (LAN) infrastructure
  • Participating in various team & project meetings
  • Responsible for the creation and maintenance of client specific documentation in support of a standard operating environment
  • Providing direction for the more junior members in meeting the customer expectations
  • Planning appropriate execution of own tasks so that time is effectively used and progress can be monitored
  • Qualifications

    You're the missing piece of the puzzle

  • Technical skills within the core relevant technical proficiencies : software, hardware, networking
  • Ability to work on company-wide, multi-functional complex systems
  • Starting to develop advanced levels of skills in the area of interest in terms of technical expertise : software, hardware, networking
  • Typically longer term view to technical issues
  • Requires entrepreneurial abilities when dealing with customers
  • Requires ability to provide technical consultation to internal & external customers
  • Requires sound presentation skills to both internal & external stakeholders
  • Experience with building technical documents / bulletins / communication
  • High school graduate with Information Technology post-secondary training or equivalent
  • Great-to-haves

    1-3 years's experience in the following :

  • Structured Query Language (SQL) experience
  • Microsoft Active Directory or Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)
  • Virtual Machine (VM) experience
  • Database experience
  • Coding or experience with Visual Basic (VB) scripts
