As a Relationship Manager, reporting to the Manager of Dealer Relations, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining distributor head office relationships by means of providing excellent customer service and by resolving issues of mutual concern, system support, researches and investigates processing / policy discrepancies, and participates in product development and work procedures.

You will also maintain operational relationships with external distributors, as well as the Dynamic Funds National Accounts, Inside Sales, Wholesale teams, Customer Relations Centre, and internal Operations

Key Responsibilities :

  • Respond to incoming calls, emails, faxes from both internal and external clients and provides courteous and prompt responses to all inquiries;
  • Participate in the investigation of fundserv trade rejects via TFS, anomalies in xml files that could impact N$M settlement.
  • Act as an information source for internal / external departmental processes and systems procedures; Act as a subject matter expert for internal and external clients on the topics of mutual funds, Fundserv processes and iFAST.
  • Travel to distributor’s head office as needed to review operational concerns and maintain relationship structure
  • Provide Dealer Agreement Package and other materials as requested; review this material for AML / ATF regulatory requirements
  • Set up new funds and / or changes to existing funds on the iFAST system
  • Create and QC FD / MD files and work on special projects as requested;
  • Participate in requirement definition and user acceptance testing of software enhancements, FundSERV, semi-annual releases and / or new products;
  • attend working groups as needed

  • Provide ample notification to all internal and external operational personnel for upcoming releases including FundSERV;
  • Create system reports using Progress Results and Micro Strategies to determine data integrity, statistics and audits as requested
  • Update contents of departmental manuals and wiki to ensure accurate procedural guidelines
  • Skills and Experience :

  • Canadian Securities Course or Canadian Investment Fund Course required
  • College Diploma or University Degree;
  • Mutual fund customer service or operations experience would be an asset;
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years mutual funds operations experience;
  • Comprehensive knowledge Fundserv and electronic processing is preferred;
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of iFAST system is an asset.
  • Excellent time-management and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Must be flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment;
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work within strict deadlines;
  • Ability to work independently and cooperatively as member of a team;
  • Must be organized and able to deal with customers in a professional manner.
