The opportunity
As a valuable member of the Corporate Development team, the incumbent will support all aspects of Gildan’s investment, acquisition and growth strategy.
He / she will play an active role in the analysis of merger and acquisition opportunities, capital allocation decisions and developing Gildan’s corporate strategy.
The role
Support the development of Gildan’s corporate strategy
Assist in the analysis and execution of M&A transactions
Support post-acquisition integration
Lead analyses to support large capital investment decisions
Prepare presentations for Executives and the Board of Directors
Develop financial tools to evaluate the company's operational performance in strategic areas.
Key Relationships
Collaboration with corporate functions and operating organizations
Occasional presentations to Executives
What you bring to the role
Knowledge & Expertise
Undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting
2 to 3 years of work experience in investment banking, corporate development, corporate strategy, consulting or transaction advisory services
Strong financial background
Attributes
Ability to synthesize information and complex issues to make informed decisions
Strong quantitative skills : able to build financial models for the company's operations and acquisition opportunities
Performance driven : embraces challenges with determination and perseverance
Highly flexible with a sense of urgency
Dependable : respects deadlines
Superior working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
Strong communicator : enjoys working with other individuals
Communicates goals and ideas clearly and effectively
Excellent written and oral skills in English and French
