Responsibilities

  • Management of a variety of multidisciplinary projects for both public and private sector clients across the company, with particular emphasis on the electrical and I&C component of such projects

  • Leadership in providing quality client service
  • Provide on-site services for inspections, equipment start-up, and commissioning
  • Contribution to technical and professional leadership within the firm
  • Input to the career development of more junior staff, including technical direction, training recommendations, coaching and mentoring
  • Management of the development of client relationships and business development activities including proposal preparation (initiation and submission), reports and presentations
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
  • Business travel to other Dillon offices upon request
  • Qualifications

  • A degree in electrical engineering or related work experience
  • Licensed to practice as a professional engineer in Manitoba, or eligible to be licensed within six months
  • A minimum of 10-15 years of related professional experience
  • Experience

  • Demonstrated success and expertise in both project management and business development
  • Demonstrated success leading teams of technical professionals on multi-disciplinary projects
  • Experience in : water and wastewater treatment projects heavy industrial including automotive, manufacturing projects building and facilities for government, real estate and resource projects Power Utility projects
  • Experience in performing on site services for : Condition assessments Construction observation and inspection Instrumentation loop checking and calibration Equipment site acceptance testing Start-
  • up and commissioning Training

  • Proficiency in providing technical leadership to a team of professionals
  • Extensive experience in Instrumentation & Controls, including preparation of P&IDs, loop drawings, instrument specifications, and PLC IO lists
  • Extensive Experience in control networks including Modbus, Modbus TCP, EthernetIP, DeviceNet
  • Extensive Experience with Schneider Electric and Allen Bradly PLC and SCADA systems
  • Extensive Experience in the preparation of process control narratives
  • PLC programming and configuration considered an asset
  • SCADA system programming and configuration considered an asset
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
