Within Personal Insurance, we are highly dependent on MI to ensure we make high quality, fact-based decisions in a timely manner that allow us to drive our business forward.
Currently within Personal Insurance, we have a number of different teams building MI. We will be moving these into a centralized team, responsible for the delivery of MI across the Personal Insurance Department, and led by the AVP Management Information and Business Insights .
This leader will ensure we build and use market-leading MI effectively across the organization. The role is key to the success of our Personal Insurance business, and as such will provide the successful candidate with an excellent opportunity to drive our business forward.
Build and lead a team responsible for delivery of MI within the Personal Insurance Department. Determine and establish appropriate operating model for the future production and analysis of MI in order to optimize delivery across PI, ensuring every department has their business needs met, while also maintaining efficiency and one version of the truth
Develop an MI framework and strategy that will allow for efficient and effective production of MI in the long term, which will serve users in the PI business.
Collaborate with teams across PI and the greater organization, to ensure that what is delivered serves the needs of all users.
Work closely with Data Science teams to build out and deliver on a strategic roadmap for development of new MI functionality and infrastructure, exploiting new technologies as appropriate.
In collaboration with stakeholders, resolve priorities for regular reporting and insight to maximize value across PI. Ensure regular reports deliver timely, relevant, MI that allows for appropriate business decisions to be made.
Provide insight and information based on these reports, highlighting key areas of interest and opportunity, in order to enable better and timelier decision making.
Prepare presentations of this insight, suitable for a variety of stakeholders at different levels within the organization, including for the Executive Committee, as regular input into performance management.
Constantly evolve our MI to meet changing business needs, soliciting feedback and incorporating it for continual evolution and improvement.
Required Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills :
Extensive experience of building, interpreting and analyzing MI.
Consistent track record of being able to lead a team effectively.
Ability to foster and build good working relationships with business areas inside and outside the business unit.
Strong communication skills at all levels of interaction and correspondence.
Shown talent in running multiple and changing priorities & projects, ensuring execution, and delivering results.
Demonstrated ability to build and execute on strategic roadmaps.
Demonstrated commitment to high standards of performance.
Strong analytical skills.
Self-motivated and driven.
Experience in the Property / Casualty insurance industry will be beneficial, including knowledge and understanding of key performance metrics within Personal Insurance.
Knowledge of QLIK, databases, SQL, R, Python and other programming languages will be an asset.
