The Agropur Milk Plant in Edmonton, Alberta is looking to fill a Maintenance Worker position. You may have known us as Lucerne in the past, and now we are a part of the Agropur Dairy Cooperative family, an organization with a rich history throughout Canada.

You've probably heard of us and seen our products and now you have an opportunity to be a part of making them.

What do you need to get this position?

Millwright and 4th class power engineer (Valid in Alberta)

Previous experience in the maintenance of food processing / packaging equipment

Knowledge of PLC and programming is an asset

Ability to perform basic TIG welding for quick repairs and small fabrication jobs

Strong organizational skills maintaining a clean shop and work area is a requirement in this position

Demonstrated skills with Microsoft Word and Excel

Here at Agropur, employee safety is very important and individual awareness and practices are critical to avoiding on-the-job injuries.

You must have very good worksite hazard awareness and be very familiar with lock out tag out procedures. You may even be asked to sit on, and be a driving force in, the plant safety committee.
