Valard has full-service capabilities for transmission, distribution, substations, foundations, telecommunications, and renewable energy.
We are currently looking for a Sewage truck driver for a project in Northern Ontario. Position for approx. 4 months 6 months.
Camp position with Camp maintenance crew, travel provided, shift is 20 / 10.
Requirements
Wear PPE at all times
Provide excellent customer service as a representative of the Valard brand
Troubleshoot issues and equipment, including preventative maintenance
Follow all legislation and regulations set out by the Occupational Health & Safety Act and Valard Policies & Standard Operating Procedures
Perform pre-trip inspections & equipment inspections by following company policies and procedure for routine maintenance
Perform general housekeeping to ensure equipment is clean and operating properly
Ensure all daily task reporting requirements are fulfilled
Work as a member of the team by assisting other members when required
Complete client’s site-specific training as required
Ability to communicate effectively with managers, peers, and clients
Ability to operate equipment independently and safely
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Additional Requirements
Must have valid class 3 / DZ license
Ability to work independently while following job requirements
Must have and maintain a clean driver’s abstract and CVOR
Able to meet the physical requirements of the position which involves sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting (up to 75 pounds), working at heights, in confined spaces and in all types of weather conditions (rain, snow, heat etc.), remote hose
Values safe work practices and holds others accountable for working in a safe manner
Hard working, team-player attitude with attention to detail and above average customer service skills
MUST be vaccinated for COVID-19 as per client requirement.
MUST b e willing to join CUSW union.
Carpentry experience considered an asset
