    Financial Analyst (1 Year Contract)

    The Financial Analyst role will employ intermediate Accounting knowledge and experience to provide various financial analyses and reconciliations in support of the local business for Corporate reporting.

    This includes taking on various roles within the Finance department including duties involving all areas of the Accounting cycle.

    The candidate will play a vital role in the month end close will interact with various cross functional departments and stakeholders.

    What You Will Do :

  • Main contributor for company’s freight reporting, accruals and payments
  • Preparation and analysis of various monthly reconciliations and variance reports
  • Analyze and record month end entries to manage balance sheet and income statement accounts
  • Analyze costing information for accuracy in conjunction with operations
  • Provide Support for Sarbanes Oxley related responsibilities
  • Calculate accrual and payments for Agencies commissions on a monthly basis
  • Manage Customer Rebates
  • Assist in preparation of all materials needed to comply with year-end audit requirements
  • What You Will Need :

  • Business or Accounting University degree preferred
  • CPA designation or final stages would be considered an asset
  • Experience in dealing with cost accounting and standard costing systems
  • Exposure to Full Cycle Accounting
  • Experience in dealing with Multicurrency
  • AS400 & Hyperion Experience would be considered an asset
