    About the Opportunity

    Currently, Horizon Landscape Contractors is seeking a highly motivated Landscape Construction Foreman to join our team in Langley, BC on a full-time basis.

    This role will see you working on-site throughout the lower mainland on a 42-hour working week.

    As our new Landscape Construction Foreman, you'll combine your passion for leading a crew with your desire to utilize your construction experience in order to carry out a range of responsibilities including :

  • Acting as the leader when on-site and leading by example.
  • Completing jobs by using, and teaching others to use, a variety of tools and equipment safely.
  • Managing crews of 2 or more as well as championing their training.
  • Carrying out required work using power tools, cut-off saws, and tampers, as well as mobile equipment including skidsteers and mini excavators.
  • Determining and setting grades using benchmarks and laser levels.
  • Screeding sand for pavers.
  • Laying the base course for walls.
  • Installing pavers on aggregate and pedestal systems.
  • Completing tasks within assigned deadlines and budgets.
  • Participating in training events.
  • Participating in safety training, completing paperwork, and contributing in required meetings.
  • In order to qualify for this role, you will need at least 1 year of experience in a leadership / supervisory role along with previous progressive experience in Landscape Construction.

    Experience with both Hardscape and Soft Scape Landscaping is required as is the ability to read technical reports, blueprints, and other relevant construction documents.

    Possessing post-secondary trades education or a Red Seal certification is an asset.

    Please note that all applicants must have Steel-Toed Boots, access to reliable transportation as not all job sites are on a bus route, and be in excellent physical health in order to frequently lift 50+ lbs.
