  • Responsibilities :

    Market Recognition Lead the coordination and completion of award nominations and legal directory submissions in collaboration with practice group leaders and other lawyers Coordinate and participate in ranking research interviews Serve as the in-house expert on various directories and awards Research directories and awards in order to make recommendations and to expand opportunities Assist with market recognition communication plans, including drafting news announcements Draft and send internal emails to lawyers regarding directory requests, surveys, results, etc.

    Draft and review deal and case information for the firm’s website, bios and practice area profiles Manage relationship with vendors Business Development Draft and coordinate pitches, proposal responses, presentations and other marketing collateral for new business opportunities and client meetings Work with practice groups and individual lawyers to determine effective approaches to pursue new business and facilitate implementation Attend practice group meetings and prepare agendas and meeting minutes Conduct strategic research on potential clients, competitors and industry developments to identify business trends and opportunities Marketing Communications Work collaboratively with the Event / Marketing and Communications Teams to support firm projects and the Manager, Events & Marketing Effectively project manage delegated initiatives and deliverables to meet deadlines Draft communications and business development materials, including presentations, practice area profiles, biographies, brochures, firm announcements, work highlights, event and internal communications.

    Review communications and business development materials for grammar, spelling, content, consistency, accuracy and tone Miscellaneous Shared responsibility for managing and updating the firm’s website, including drafting and updating content Shared responsibility for reviewing and responding to emails sent to the firm’s general Marketing inboxes Assist with external communications using Vuture Perform general communication and administrative tasks as required

    Requirements :

    Post-secondary degree, preferably in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Business or Arts Minimum of five years’ working experience in a related or similar role, preferably with a law firm or other professional services environment Treat sensitive and confidential matters with discretion at all times Ability to work occasional overtime

    Skills :

    Proficient with MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) Excellent written communications skills, including drafting, editing and proofreading Meticulous attention to detail Good judgement and decision making in a fast-paced environment Must be comfortable dealing with senior personnel Self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as in a team Strong interpersonal skills, able to problem solve and possess sound judgment and decision making skills
