Job Summary Under the general guidance and supervision of the F&B manager or delegate and within the limits of established IHG policies, assists in monitoring and directing all aspects of the bars assigned.

Your day to day

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Stocks the bar specific number of cutleries, linens, water goblets and all the standard mise-en-place that should be prepared to facilitate smooth and faster service.
  • Sets the bar accordingly to drinks ordered by the guest.
  • Immediately cleans the bar prior to serving the guests.
  • Maintains bar cleanliness at all times.
  • Maintains an adequate supply of all equipment.
  • Should always be well groomed and neatly dressed in the prescribed uniforms.
  • Must be familiar with all the hotel facilities to provide guests with precise information.
  • Greets guests by name, if known and assists in their seating.
  • Offers second drinks when previous drink is almost finished.
  • Reports guests comments and complaints to the managers promptly to handle complaints diplomatically.
  • Performs daily inventory of supplies and equipment.
  • Is responsible for loss and breakage of glassware, chinaware and flatware.
  • Reports loss and breakage by filling out forms accordingly.
  • Should be familiar with all food and beverage items, menus and wine list in order to provide guests with correct information when asked.
  • Demonstrates Understanding and awareness of all company policies and procedures relating to Health, Hygiene and fire life safety.
  • Performs related duties and other projects as assigned.
