What You’ll Be Doing
You will be part of the Business Banking team, reporting to the Director, Business Banking. As a Business Development Manager you’ll be accountable to building networks, Centers of Influence within your community to proactively source new business clients targeting those with annual revenues greater than $500K.
Your goal would be to provide expert advice and financial solutions to address any business requirement at every stage of the company’s life cycle.
You will facilitate introductions to the right CIBC Advisor who will manage the relationship day to day and fulfill solutions as appropriate for the client.
You will accomplish this while enjoying the flexibility to meet with your prospects outside of the office, on a schedule that’s as versatile as you are.
How You’ll Succeed
Business Development - Understand your local market and potential client base and create a comprehensive sales plan to acquire new clients.
You will use your strong relationship building and networking skills to build connections, generate opportunities, and deliver bottom line results.
Be the face of CIBC Business Banking within your market. Get involved with local networking groups and have strong visibility in your community,
Client Engagement : Focus on each client experience and connect on a personal level to make every interaction meaningful.
You will deliver trusted advice and recommend financial solutions to meet client needs and cultivate your network to establish new client relationships.
Community Involvement : Get involved in your community. Participate regularly in local events that provide the right support and visibility for CIBC Business Banking.
Be the face of CIBC within your community and be an advocate for positive change wherever appropriate.
This role operates within a flexible, mobile environment and you will establish your own home office. Frequent travel is required to visit clients and prospects in the community therefore a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is required.
You may be required to work outside of normal office hours including evenings and weekends.

Who You Are
You can demonstrate experience in Business Banking. You have 3+ years’ experience in business development, ideally in financial services.
You also have and / or are ready to establish a network in the local business community.
