Your mission :
You will be leading mission-based engineering teams and core technology teams to deliver innovations and improvements to our Flipp shopping marketplace.
Help create the long-term Engineering vision and strategy for the consumer vertical while leading Engineering Team Leads, working alongside the Director of Product to understand the future challenges of the area.
You will provide mentorship and coaching to drive engineering quality and excellence to grow a healthy engineering organization.
What you’ll be doing :
Engineering Leadership : lead Engineering teams within the vertical by providing vision, strategy, and engineering quality and excellence Partner with Product to define joint Product & Engineering long-
term roadmap for product agile teams within the vertical Develop long-term vision and strategy for the vertical People Management : oversee teams within the vertical and be responsible for overall performance and growth of team members Align with cross-
functional groups (Product, Partner Technology, Sales, Operations) to ensure clarity and focus for Engineering teams
What you’ll bring :
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or related field 12+ years of Software Development experience 5+ years of Software Development management experience Advanced skills in leading multiple teams with total team size of 40+ Advanced skills in setting, communicating, implementing, and achieving objectives and goals through the direct management of teams in multiple levels Advanced org planning, management, and change management skills across cross-
functional groups and departments Strong people leader : Leads, motivates, evaluates team members’ performance and acts as a mentor to assigned team members.
Ability to lead through direct reports and indirect reports. Excellent communicator : company-wide, org-wide (written and verbal).
Strong communication and presentation skills applicable to a wide audience including executive management, engineering teams, and business teams Collaborative problem solver and resourceful in getting things done with others Ability to facilitate discussions and drive clarity for teams Ability to lead teams to drive innovation with ambiguity Experience working as partner with Director of Product (or similar level) to jointly set long-
term roadmap for teams Broad knowledge and experience in software engineering org design, agile methodologies, and architectural principles
